MUST HAVE MOZILLA addons and tweaks FOR THE LINUX USERS(applicable for windows too) :
I am writing it for the linux users bcoz the only thing u will miss in linux is the idm i.e. internet download manger
but there's always an alternative i.e. flashgot and i am giving the list of the must have extensions for mozilla firefox :
1. 1st of make firefox fast as it is little bit slow in linux:(make firefox faster than chrome or chromium)
on the sites u will find various method to optimize firefox by configuring the setting in about:config but it's little bit tiring but i have found one addons which works in the same manner i.e

after installing go to tools - addons - options for faster fox and select the turbocharged otion as shown in window below :
***another thing i wanted to add for linux users to speed up firefox is preload
for ubuntu users install it from synaptics or just type in your terminal
sudo apt-get install preload or just click here for ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10
for fedora :
sudo yum -y install preload
sudo chkconfig preload on
sudo service preload on
2. Flashgot for the integration of ur download manger with firefox :
install the addons flashgot : flashgot (click on the link)
after installing flashgot u can integrate ur flashgot with any download manager
goto tools-addons-select preferences in flashgot
press add after selecting preferences
u will have options for most of the common download mangers ....if it is not there
just enter the location . here for example i am adding prozgui
for prozgui write /usr/bin/prozgui in general /usr/bin/yourdownloadmanger
after this u can use ur download manger can grab the download link.
3. lastpass password manger :
very useful addon u will have ur password wherever u goon any browser and on any platform.LastPass is a free online password manager and Form Filler that makes
your web browsing easier and more secure. Also for IE, Safari and
Chrome. Your sensitive data is encrypted _locally_ before upload so
even LastPass cannot get access to it.

4. xmarks bookmarks sync:
i do not like the firefox sync as it is quite tiresome and also not available in others browser xmarks syncs ur bookmarks and available on all browsers and all platform.

5. youtube downloader and other video downloaders
it's a must as we do not have the idm to grab videos automatically

you can download youtube videos from youtube-dl by terminal but it's very slow so i do not recommend it.
5. skip screen :

6. greasemonkey
greasemaonkey is a wonderful addon .Customize the way a web page displays or behaves, by using small bits of JavaScript.

7. save as pdf:
i prefer it a lot as i can save my important web pages as pdf to read later.
